Wolves and Werewolves by PlaceboFX
Wolves and Werewolves
You'd look nice in a grave.
I smile at the moon; death is on my face
And if you wait too long,
Then you'll never see the dawn again

I'd really like to take a moment to rant about what I've found to be one of the most unpleasant parts of being a bride-to-be (quite possibly the ONLY unpleasant part).

So today I picked up my wedding dress, and tried it on one more time to make sure nothing was damaged or dirty.
Now, this dress only came in one size, so it doesn't fit perfectly. The back only zips up about halfway, but is otherwise perfect. But when asked about putting a corset back into the dress, the dress store employee's first response was "oh, well you're going to be losing weight, aren't you?"
And THIS is what has driven me completely insane. Everybody and their cousin not only ASSUMES that you must be trying to lose weight, they will all but INSIST that you do. They make snide little comments about what you're eating, reminding you that "you have a dress to fit into".
What would ordinarily be considered major social taboo suddenly becomes totally acceptable, just because you now have a ring on your left hand.
I've not only experienced this firsthand, often from complete strangers, I've watched it happen to so many other engaged women. But it's unacceptable, and it needs to stop.

Welcome to Placebo FX Makeup - Horror, gore, and character special effects cinema makeup work, with an underpinning dedication to service.

Placebo FX Makeup is run by and consists solely of myself, Steph Koza.
I've been in the field for nearly six years now, and continue to love every minute of it.
With a specialty in horror and gore, I have done work in everything from aliens to fairies.
I've enjoyed doing custom makeup work for movies ranging from indie to full budget, and ranging from basic wounds to full non-human characters.
I also have a passion for scaring people half to death. As a result, I've been working in haunted houses as an actress since I was about quite young and have more recently been doing makeup for one of the top haunted houses in the state.

Now, I hope you enjoy taking a look through the various pieces of my work that are available in the photo galleries above. This is my passion, and I enjoy allowing people to take a walk through my, admittedly somewhat strange, mind.

I currently reside in a suburb of Los Angeles, CA, and actively commute to sites all over the LA basin and beyond.

Phenomenal work. I stumbled upon your page by accident and I'm definitely glad I found it. Cringe worthy in the best ways.

I have no idea if you will ever see this, but I really hope you do. You are inspirational. I don't know if you will be uploading much here anymore now that you're planning on getting married, but your art has always been fantastic. I have looked up to you for years. I'm pretty sure I've been watching your deviations since I was 13 or 14, on multiple accounts, that is, and now I'm 18 and in college, hoping to get involved in special effects as a career, whether makeup, costume, props, anything, I would die to be able to do everything you do. But you are beautiful and have done amazing things, and I know you will do many more. I have found love myself, not engaged, but will be soon, and he pushes me to follow my dreams and do what I love. I wish you the best in life and hope to see more of your work. I'd love to get to know you more and learn from the woman who inspired me so. Thank you for being you. -Less

You are a beautiful person. :) Never stop fighting for your dreams. It's not always easy, but it's always worth it.
If you're ever in LA, let's get coffee!

Oh my god you replied! <3 and I will not stop fighting, my dream is what I love. I doubt I'll ever go to LA (as much as I would love to, everything amazing is there) but if you ever come to Savannah let me know! We could still get coffee XD that would be exciting for sure (not sure if you've ever been to the Netherworld haunted house in Atlanta but if you haven't been you should go because it is amazing... and then come to Savannah XD )

Oh man, doesn't Netherworld hold the title of #1 haunt in the US? My husband and I plan on eventually going on a big road trip someday to all the big haunts. So maybe then! ;)

Is there a way, with makeup, to enhance a healed scar from an oil burn and make it stand out?
